With over three decades of experience working in every level of correctional environments—including supermax, federal, private, and state facilities—Pere has become a dedicated subject matter expert in correctional operations, staff development, use of force management, and organizational culture transformation. Throughout his career, he has led teams through some of the most complex challenges faced inside secure institutions, trained thousands of professionals, and supported agencies in improving safety, accountability, compliance, and humane treatment.

Today, Peter continues that work through consulting, speaking, writing, and the Corrections Unfiltered podcast, where real conversations drive real change across the profession. Peter’s mission is to elevate corrections by helping facilities build stronger leaders, safer environments, and more effective outcomes for staff, inmates, and the communities they serve.
