With over 34 years of distinguished service in corrections and public safety, Peter J. Bludworth brings unmatched expertise in correctional leadership, facility operations, and system-wide reform. His career spans the Federal Bureau of Prisons, CoreCivic, and multiple state and federal partnerships, where he has served in roles from Correctional Officer to Associate Warden and Warden.
Peter has overseen high-security federal institutions and complex contract facilities, led emergency preparedness programs, and directed large-scale operational transitions. He has navigated environments with diverse populations, intense public scrutiny, workforce challenges, and shifting operational priorities—always with a focus on safety, accountability, and consistency in leadership.
Known for his ability to unify teams and build professionalism across ranks, Peter approaches every engagement with respect for the people doing the work. His experience includes operational streamlining, staff training, compliance readiness, community partnerships, and reentry integration with Probation and Parole.
